Ingredients:

10 g aniseed
250 g of flour
1 tsp of baking powder
5 cl orange blossom water
5 cl of water
8 cl sunflower oil
70 g of caster sugar
1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Preparation of the Kaâk of Safi
Preparation time: 20 mn
Cooking time: 25 mn
- Preheat the oven to 180°.
- In a large bowl, put the sugar, oil, water, orange blossom water, sesame seeds, anise and salt.
- Mix together.
- Add the flour and the yeast little by little until you get a homogeneous dough.
- Divide the dough into twelve equal parts.
- Shape each piece into a small ball.
- Roll each ball into a 10 cm (15 cm for me) ball.
- Pinch them together with a pair of serrated tongs, I used scissors.
- Weld the two ends together to make rings.
- Place the kaâk, spacing them out, on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
